The Bionic 3D Graphics Engine is a fully OpenGL compliant engine that supports all
of the latest hardware and software features available. Shading techniques range
from simple flat shaded polygons to a virtually unlimited number of color, specular
color, material, diffuse bump, specular bump, gloss, cubic environment or reflection
mapped multipasses. Different types of lightsources, like simple hardware lights or
advanced projected lights, can be used in almost any combination with these object
shaders. Many of the standard features of Maya shaders can be imported and are
supported directly. Realistic shadows and colored lighting effects may be applied to
all objects using vertex colors, precalculated lightmaps, dynamic volumetric shadows
or dynamic depth projected shadows.
